A sizeable portion of the audience that watches television news is children (below 18 years). While no TV station means to harm children, many channels often broadcast news that has a negative impact on them. Following the basics of journalistic ethics and standards while reporting and broadcasting news on and for children can help us get rid of this nuisance. Therefore, MRDI took an initiative to publish this guideline for journalists to help them with broadcast standards for news on and for children on television.
