This handbook defines some ethical guidelines for journalists and mentions key elements which are essential for reporting on issues involving/affecting children. The necessity of ethics and why to follow it, ethical responsibilities of journalists and relationship between journalism and children have been depicted elaborately here. The code of conduct and guidelines for journalists in this handbook are based on the notion that ethics should come from a place of responsibility, conscience, and self-regulation – not a place of legality. MRDI published the handbook with the support of UNICEF.
