This handbook intends to explore the way to bridge the gap between journalist and ethnic minorities of the country. First part of the handbook is meant for the journalists, food for thought and some suggestions for them. The second part focuses on ethnic people, their community, culture, identity, problems and deprivations. At the end, some important data and information on ethnic communities, their way of life, festivals have been provided. The handbook is expected to help journalists report on these deprived communities.

This strategic action plan on advocacy for media reform identifies key challenges and outlines scope of work needed to address barriers to professional and quality journalism in Bangladesh. Developed through a participatory and evidence-based approach, the plan sets out essential interventions to foster an enabling environment for practicing journalism without fear or intimidation. The publication presents the outcomes of an extensive, consultative, and inclusive process, and lays out the Strategic Action Plan for the period 2025–2030 to transform the vision of a free, independent, inclusive, and resilient news media ecosystem in Bangladesh.
