Position: Senior Accounts Officer

Note: This position will go through a six-months probationary period before confirmation.

Responsibilities:

  • Follow all the policies & practices of MRDI, guidelines of the donor and Government rules & regulations.
  • Prepare and maintain books of accounts in accordance with accounting standards and NGO-specific regulations.
  • Posting all books of accounts through accounting software.
  • Ensure compliance with Tax & Vat laws and other statutory requirements.
  • Ensuring smooth payment to staff, vendors and partners as per required deadlines.
  • Preparing financial report as per donor requirement.
  • Preparing financial report for conducting project audit as per NGOAB /donor requirements and give all kinds of support to audit team for completing the audit.
  • Monitoring the project team to utilize the budget efficiently and effectively.
  • Prepare NGOAB formats (FD 6, FD 2, FD 3, FC 1) as per project requirements.
  • Preparing VAT & Tax challan and deposit to Govt. Treasury and submit required statements to respective authority.
  • Monitor fund utilization and ensure donor funds are used in accordance with grant agreements.
  • Perform any other task as assigned by the management.

Employment Status: Full-time

Educational Requirements:

  • M.Com/ M.B. A in Accounting/Finance

Experience Requirements:

  • At least 5-7 Years practical experience for handling NGO Accounts /Development Organization

Other Requirements:

  • Age 35 to 40 years
  • Must have sound knowledge in accounting software
  • Proven knowledge of book keeping and accounting principles, practices, standards, laws and regulation
  • Proficient with Microsoft office
  • Must have knowledge in Tax & VAT as per Government law
  • Able to work under pressure and complete the task within a preset timeframe
